HUSTLERMagazine.com: You made a massive transformation, going from presenting female to male! What was that process like for you?
Trip Richards: Yes, it was a huge change! When I started medically transitioning (taking testosterone and doing top surgery) in 2015, I had already been doing sex work for almost two years while presenting female. I was a dominatrix and focused a lot on mental and physical wellness with my subs, so my persona was tough and athletic but also explicitly fem-dom. I continued making content and seeing subs for a few months after starting testosterone, but the physical changes soon became obvious. At that point I lost all the clientele I had, since they weren’t interested in me as my new masculine-presenting self. I didn’t know if I would ever return to sex work, or whether there was any market for people like me. It was really scary from a business perspective, but I knew that I was doing the right thing for myself and my authentic happiness.
It must have come as a jolt to some fans. What reactions did you receive?
