HUSTLERMagazine.com: How has your background in improv and comedy helped you in the acting portion of your porn career?
Mistress Salem: My background in comedy has helped my career in sex work, and naturally that transferred over to creating pornographic content. A lot of the scenes I would do with my real-life submissives as a dominatrix go over to erotic role-play, so having this background helps me to get into character, and it’s the difference of being able to offer a basic physical play session with added role-play, taking it into a more satisfying fantasy experience. My time doing this in front of a camera is just an extension of the type of scenes I was creating for years. My time as a performer helped me to develop my timing and voice, which translated well when I started creating adult content.
As a content creator, you have more (if not 100%) control over what you produce. When you choose to make dialogue- or script-heavy scenes, what reaction do you usually receive from the fans?
