HUSTLERMagazine.com: How did your friends and family react to the news that you’re in the adult-entertainment industry?
Dee Siren: When my family found out, my parents were very upset and could not understand how I could have chosen to go into the adult industry from being a first-grade elementary school teacher. The majority of my maternal extended family have chosen to disown me. My parents have slowly grown to see that my choice of career was out of my own doing and that it has not brought about negativity to my life. They have seen that I have grown exponentially as a person from my life experiences and have been able to provide my family with a wonderful life.
Sydney Screams: I had suspected that my brother knew due to a friend of his outing me, but he told me that he’d never talked to our parents about it. So right after I spoke to him, I Skyped with my parents and told them everything. My dad said he had always suspected that I was tied to the porn industry because I never hid my love of photographing naked women from them, which gave me a laugh. Overall, my parents’ reaction was supportive.
Harley Marie: All of my friends have been so supportive, from the very beginning. I don’t think I’ve had one friend say anything negative. Most of my family has been supportive; their main concern was that I was happy. The ability to work and make my own schedule has been an incredible gift, and they’ve absolutely seen that over the years.
