DaddyBaphy: I’ve been obsessed with blasphemy since a very young age, I went to Catholic school as a child and I particularly remember a moment in the second grade, where I began questioning all these ridiculous lessons, morals and feeling like you constantly needed validation from some sky daddy. There’s a story my mom loves telling of me at the age of four, where I refused to walk the dog with her in the summertime unless I was dressed like the devil. I guess not much has changed since. I became aware of this niche through underground music that was associated with the horror punk and goth communities. I was working with a burlesque group as Baphomet; one thing led to another and many of the girls there would frequently encourage me to make Satanic- and religious-themed content. Fast-forward a little bit later, and here we are.
Freshie Juice: I couldn’t tell you where my first interest in religious imagery began. I’ve been interested in it for as long as I can remember. I find it beautiful, powerful and fun to play with in power dynamics.
