If it’s rare for adult-industry performers to make the jump to a mainstream entertainment career, it’s perhaps even more unusual for mainstream actors to transition to XXX. So it’s not surprising that Maitland Ward generated massive attention recently for doing just that.
Ward, who is probably best known for her work on the ‘90s sitcom Boy Meets World (she played Rachel McGuire), raised eyebrows along with other body parts earlier this year when news broke that she had embarked on a blue-screen career. But to hear Ward–whose credits also include Home Improvement, Rules of Engagement and the 2004 film White Chicks—tell it, the move to porn wasn’t as sudden, or as jarring, as it might seem. In fact, she says, working in mainstream and the adult world have been very similar—”except that you’re having sex” on a porn set.
HUSTLERMagazine.com recently caught up with the crossover sensation to discuss her journey into XXX, the media reaction to her career move, and working on Kayden Kross’ new adult feature Drive.
