The More, the Merrier?

The good news is, your woman might be open to the threesome or foursome you’ve been wanting. The bad news? Both of you might be too afraid to bring up the topic.

Many women, once ensconced in a committed relationship, take pains to convince their men that they are completely satisfied with normal, everyday coupled copulation. They want their guys to think that they are content with doing the deed with him and him alone, and that they never once have fantasized about adding anyone else to the mix to spice things up a bit. Yet, a recent survey uncovered an interesting revelation—namely, that plenty of women in committed relationships are looking to get into real hedonistic adventures. For these women, getting one hole filled at a time is not enough. No, sir—she wants more.

The survey, from the dating app Pure, found that approximately 90% of women are keeping mum about an unfulfilled kink or fantasy that they would like to explore. They just can’t figure out how to navigate that discussion with their significant other. The biggest of these fantasies is to have good, old-fashioned group sex. About 35% of the respondents said they would very much like to participate in a threesome, foursome or a full-on orgy. Of course, many never reveal these desires to their man for fear that they will be demonized and shamed—52% admitted to harboring this apprehension. That fear, however, might not be warranted. “All this time I’ve been scared to bring a threesome up with my girlfriend because of how she might react,” Benjamin, 34, of New Haven, Missouri, tells HUSTLERMagazine.com.

“I’d probably have a threesome if my husband asked me.”

Oh baby, this is a classic pickle. The woman is afraid to introduce the possibility of including a third or a fourth in the bedroom (46% admitted that they have felt discomfort while discussing their sexual desires with their partner), and so is he (51% of men confessed that they are scared of being judged if they reveal their kinks), so nothing beyond a little doggy-style with a sock jammed in her mouth is destined to occur. “When it comes to sexuality, communication seems to be the biggest villain in the bedroom,” Dr. Jordan Soper, licensed psychologist and certified sex therapist, tells HUSTLERMagazine.com. Yup—it turns out that having an open, honest conversation about group sex might be all that’s standing in the way of enjoying some. “I’d probably have a threesome if my husband asked me,” Robin, 41, tells us. Kelsie of Grand Junction, Colorado, concurs. “We’ve never talked about something like that before, but I’d be open to it, yes,” Kelsie tells HUSTLERMagazine.com. Hey, fellas, these ladies are not the minority in this openness to lechery. Far from it; the survey found that 81% of women would be willing to try a particular sex act with a partner if that partner would just muster up the guts to ask.
