Plenty of porn-stars-to-be have used HUSTLER as a springboard to propel themselves into the glamorous waters of XXX fame. Few made a bigger splash than Candi Evans, who dove into the deep end of viewers’ hearts in the February ’87 issue of America’s Magazine.
At the time that the pictorial “Candi Evans: Cool Dip for a Hot Star” was shot, Evans was relatively green to the blue-movie world, but even if she had just begun to dip her toe into the X-rated waters, she was already causing big ripples in the porn pool.
“Newcomer Candi Evans brings a delectable body and delightful sexual abandon to the blue screen, as she showed in XXX scorchers Born to Run and HUSTLER Video’s Forbidden Bodies,” the text accompanying photographer James Baes’ pictures noted. “Her body is like a cartoon caricature of the pert-pupped, bubble-butted, sleek and tan sex machine who dwells in every American man’s perverted imagination.”
