It was supposed to be a breezy porn shoot at sea. It turned out to be a nautical disaster.
By 1997, porn director David Christopher—aka Pussyman—had decided to sell his stake in Snatch Productions and strike out on his own, but before he could do that, he owed the company one more movie. His partners decided a nautical-themed offering would be the ticket, and Pussyman 15: Bone Voyage would be the kind of farewell the director deserved.
Had the resulting shoot gone any worse, it could have been the final farewell for Christopher, along with the cast and crew that had been assembled for the project.
Speaking to HUSTLERMagazine.com in a recent interview, Christopher recalled an early bad omen: “Nina Hartley called and said her mother had a premonition the boat would sink.” Cast member Alexandra Silk also remembered that prediction. “Nina said at the dock, ‘My mom had a dream, I don’t think we should get on this boat.’ We got on anyway,” Silk said.

Porn people are intrepid. A silly premonition from somebody’s mom was not enough to halt production. The pieces were already in place. “We all met in Marina del Rey [in the Los Angeles area] by my apartment,” recalled Christopher. “We had two cars and we piled in to drive to Long Beach to board the boat we chartered to take us to Santa Catalina Island.”
