A XXX Guide to Dealing With Trolls

Online bullies are rampant, and unfortunately they seem to particularly enjoy harassing adult-industry workers. Some of our favorite performers share their experiences with trolls and tips on how to deal with them.

Online bullies are an unavoidable part of the internet. Adult stars seem to be inexplicably targeted, which brings up numerous questions. Why is that? How do victims of it deal and cope? How can we fix this issue? We reached out to some tough performers about their experiences and sought their advice on how to deal with the ultimate computer virus: TROLLS.

HUSTLERMagazine.com: What have your experiences been with strangers harassing or bullying you online?

Muffy Dynamite: I’ve been extremely fortunate to not have had many cyber trolls this last year or so. Maybe they’ve been preoccupied with the state of the world and/or COVID. But in the past, it was a problem from time to time! Strangers from accounts I was not familiar with, especially on Twitter, seemed to be the lead culprits. I think Twitter is a platform where people speak their mind, share their thoughts and look for engagement. It’s my belief that it’s the most open social media platform there is—the least governed/restricted. It’s also very easy to create fake accounts and/or bots. Maybe that’s why it is a breeding ground for these cyber bullies (trolls). In past encounters, I’ve had cyber bullies call my purity or lack thereof into question. Comment on one of my posts about what a whore I am or how I spread my legs for anyone. What do my children think of their whore of a mother? My followers/fans would quickly rise to my defense, feeding the cyber bullies’ need to cause havoc. The bullies would say disgraceful things about how I am ruining people’s  lives, marriages and sometimes jobs due to my lack of morals. Whatever they can think of to cause an uprise! To fuel a fire that they needed to stay warm. They’re searching for that engagement. It’s what gives them satisfaction and sends dopamine through their body.

Why do you think trolls seem to target XXX stars?

Personally, I think the world has a very low opinion of sex workers. The stigma is real. We battle it on a daily basis and we are all over social media. Throughout time, people have been judgmental and vindictive toward sex workers. They honestly believe we are terrible people with no morals or conscience. So, in turn, we are already being shamed, so why not fan the fire? I think these cyber bullies look for sex workers that have a large following too. That helps to ensure there will be more interaction, and the cyber bully revels in it. The chaos they create—it’s like a drug for them.
