Shane Gillis: Doggone Funny

You know Shane Gillis. Everyone knows Shane Gillis. His Live In Austin Show on YouTube has garnered over 15 million views (and counting), and his new Beautiful Dogs special is practically crashing Netflix. On top of that, Shane has been rampaging around the country as a touring stand-up, appears regularly on The Joe Rogan Experience and occasionally on Pete Davidson’s Bupkis, and produces podcasts and radio broadcasts at every hilarious turn. Shane met up with HUSTLER in New York City recently to crack a couple cold ones and talk about screaming orgasms, circle jerks and how goddamn funny a certain orange-hued ex-president can be.

HUSTLER: To begin, I see you were recruited by West Point to play football, so does that make you some kind of American hero?

SHANE GILLIS: Yeah, I went to West Point, but I quit during boot camp. I quit right away. It wasn’t for me, a lot harder than I thought. No way.

Boy, that’s just what we want to hear from our soldiers.

Yeah: “I quit!”

I couldn’t help notice the Instagram pic of you smiling with Donald Trump? Is that you trying to antagonize people? Or perhaps lure conservative fans?

No, I don’t think that way. I’m not that—what’s the word?—tactical, or maybe strategic? I just saw a President and asked for a picture. It was at a UFC event, and he was taking pictures with people, and I was drunk, so they let me slide in there. I’d ask for a picture with anyone, maybe…I don’t know…Saddam Hussein?
