Doctor? Lawyer? Corporate chief? Which jobs will make you most attractive to the ladies? Women share their thoughts.
All of us have to do something to pay the bills. No matter if a person’s solitary ambition in life is to just sit around all day in dirty underwear playing video games, unless they have a rich daddy, they’re going to need to find a way to get paid for it. For some working stiffs, having a job is just a means to make enough money to keep the rent paid or avoid jail for failure to pay child support. Loads of others, however, see their place in the workforce as a defining characteristic, perhaps part of their legacy, that people for generations to come will talk about long after they’re dead and gone.
One other crucial factor guys should consider when pondering their chosen profession is how it may directly affect their sex lives.
Talk to a lady at the bar and they’ll almost assuredly inquire as to what it is you do for a living. This isn’t idle chit-chat, akin to discussing the weather. It’s an interview! A man’s response will determine whether she wants to continue the conversation or if she’ll blow him off and move on to someone more interesting. “I’ve lost interest in guys after finding out what they do for work,” Lora, a chef from Fayetteville, Georgia, tells HUSTLERMagazine.com. “I don’t really date people in the service industry, and I’m not especially into guys with jobs that show they’re doing the bare minimum to get by.”
Even if a woman is adamant that there’s no job requirement to date her (and a lot of them will make this claim), make no bones about it, there is. A lady has to respect a man’s job, or else she’s simply not going to find him attractive—not for long, anyway. He could be the most dashing dude on the planet, sweet as pie. But if his line of work is lame, then by extension he is too, in many women’s eyes. “I feel like their job is a reflection of who they are,” says Iliana, a 31-year-old from Cathedral City, California. “If they’re my age or older and still delivering pizza, no thanks.”
Although some might not admit it, ladies need bragging rights when they first start dating a new beau, and the best way to get “oohs” and “ahhs” out of friends and family is to deliver a dude with an impressive job title. It’s the kind of thing that potentially makes up for him being 20 years older, having long hair or sporting a face tattoo.
