Pure Frustration?

Conservative fuckers, take note—purity culture can lead to lousy, and even painful, sex.

The outcome of the 2024 election has led many to fear that there’s a big-time purification coming to the collective American bedroom. Specifically, Project 2025—a collection of recommendations for the next Republican  administration put together by conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation—has folks concerned that their personal freedom is in the crosshairs. While once-and-future President Trump has attempted to distance himself from the massive right-wing initiative, CNN has reported that “at least 140 people who worked in his administration had a hand in Project 2025,” leading many to worry that its recommendations will be adopted by the incoming regime. The concern is understandable. In addition to the B.S. proclamation that pornography “has no claim to First Amendment protection,” Project 2025 contains this rather regressive chestnut: “Families comprised of a married mother, father, and their children are the foundation of a well-ordered nation and healthy society.”

While many of us dread the prospect of being dragged back to the 1950s, a contingent of radical right-wing women are eagerly awaiting the resurgence of these sanitized Norman Rockwell fantasies. Some are reportedly celebrating Trump’s re-election by making plans to get laid, of all things, in a promise to dear leader that they will spit out loads of kids to populate MAGA-land. One Illinois mother, apparently excited about what she thinks Trump’s second term will mean to her family financially, recently took to TikTok to air her newfound desire to procreate. “Me waiting for my husband to get home from the fire dept. to ask if we can have another baby now that we can afford it. Thank you, Trump,” she declared in a post on the social media platform.

Plenty of other women appear to share in this enthusiasm. The voting population was seemingly willing to abandon freedom for cheaper eggs. Now, some of them want to use their own eggs to bring more children into the world of Trump 2.0. However, while these women might get plenty of dick over the next four years, there’s a chance they won’t enjoy any of it.
