Politics and Porking

Never mind the screwing that politicians in D.C. give us on a regular basis—how does an emotionally charged election year affect our ability to hook up out in the wild?

Nothing sucks the horniness out of the air quite like an election year. It’s a wild time when greasy politicians revel in all their nasty, despicable ways in an attempt to persuade the average voter to give them a shot at driving the country further into the crapper. The divisive atmosphere created by a race for the White House is, unfortunately, kryptonite for clits and cocks everywhere. In these times, radically different political views make it particularly difficult for more single citizens to make a love connection. “Oh, I’ve definitely creeped on someone’s profile to see if I could find those red flags,” Keeley, 23, tells HUSTLERMagazine.com, adding that it’s hard enough for two people to find common ground without conflicting politics entering into the equation.

A recent analysis from The Matchmaking Company finds that nearly 50% of singles consider “political alignment to be a barrier” in the romance department. This year, in particular, is especially arduous. Abortion rights, free speech and other liberties are at risk of being trampled under cloven hooves. To make matters worse, the Bible-thumping, Trump-humping architects behind the dreaded Project 2025 are even aiming to incarcerate pornography creators for doing what both the Constitution and the U.S. Supreme Court have protected for decades.

Yep, welcome to the madhouse! Feeling sexy yet?

The deep, wide divide that’s developed between right and left makes it even tougher than previous election years for people to connect, and political compatibility with a potential partner is an even bigger priority than usual for those navigating the dating pool. Which is why most singles would prefer to lay out their political affiliation before meeting for a date.

“I’ve slid into someone’s DMs before because of something they wrote online about reproductive rights. Being outspoken shows that they care and are keeping up with what’s happening in the world.”
