Double Threat

Minutes after being released by security, who detained them as soon as they stepped foot into HUSTLER headquarters, Sidney and Thurman Sewell are strolling through the executive suites with a bottle of Grey Goose and a couple of chicks ready to get naked. That’s how they roll: rowdy, unfiltered, no apologies.

The ATL Twins—dubbed in honor of their stomping ground, Atlanta, Georgia—recently finished their biggest acting gig to date: as a couple of thugs in bad-boy director Harmony Korine’s movie Spring Breakers. They’re now officially a national threat.

By the way, if you don’t know who’s saying what, neither did we. Welcome to the ATL Twins experience.

HUSTLER: How did you guys get started?

ATL TWINS: Well, we grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a really shitty, fucked-up, small hood. You know, when we were little, we always wanted to be celebrities. We were always into Mötley Crüe and a lot of glam rock and punk rock, like Metallica, the Misfits and Slayer. [Then] we started skateboarding. We wanted to be pro. Through skateboarding we met so many people, and we just quit going to school. We barely made it to eighth grade! We hate school. When we were 15, we left Tennessee and went to Atlanta.

You’re not pro skaters. What happened?
