If you like drinking and sex, CockTales: Dirty Discussions might be the podcast for you.
Co-hosted out of Atlanta by Kiki Said So (not her real name!) and Medinah Monroe and found on all major podcast platforms, CockTales: Dirty Discussions is a show where people (black or white, single or married, romantic or randy) get real about dating and sex.
“I’ve always been passionate about people sharing their honest stories,” says Kiki, who came up with the idea of CockTales: Dirty Discussions in 2015 and first launched the podcast (now with a corresponding YouTube edition) early the next year.
Kiki had previously worked in media for many years as a radio personality and red carpet interviewer, but feeling she was not getting the opportunities she wanted, she opted to branch out on her own.
“I decided to try something that I was actually interested in and thought I could talk about for years and years and years,” she recalls.
The CockTales: Dirty Discussions cast has varied over the years. Its first iteration included two female hosts (one of which was Kiki, of course) and two male hosts, but that didn’t work because (surprise, surprise) the men weren’t really able to articulate their feelings. Kiki tried other partners and eventually settled on another young woman as her only co-host, at least until Medinah returned to Atlanta and joined the fray, too. When the “other woman” seemed unwilling to work to promote the program in its early days Kiki sent her packing, and the cast was finalized as just she and Medinah, onetime high school classmates who are more than happy to frankly share their life experiences.
