Frontman Jack Grisham on his history with HUSTLER, bizarre groupie encounters and his band’s new album, A-Side Graffiti.
Since 1978, Southern California’s T.S.O.L.—short for True Sounds of Liberty—has been grinding out kickass music. Although their sound has changed from punk to goth to straight-ahead melodic rock, their politics and power haven’t wavered, thanks to the band’s leader Jack Grisham.
This year saw T.S.O.L. release a new album of originals and odd covers titled A-Side Graffiti. HUSTLERMagazine.com caught up with Jack recently to discuss his nude work, retiring from touring, seed-sucking groupies and that one time a fan gave him the finger. No. An actual finger.
HUSTLERMagazine.com: Are you okay doing an interview with us?
Jack Grisham: I am honored.
Is it true you posed for HUSTLER in the 1990s?
There were some photos taken but nothing usable.
