The former White Lion singer revisits and reinterprets his old band’s classic songs with a new album.
Mike Tramp, the voice of White Lion, has returned with a new album of reinterpreted songs from his classic band. The new, stripped-down versions showcase Tramp’s now more mature voice over re-recorded and downright beautiful renditions of “Wait,” “Little Fighter,” “When the Children Cry” and other chestnuts.
HUSTLERMagazine.com caught up with the singer over Zoom from his home in Denmark to chat about touring these days and why now is the right time to revisit his White Lion catalog via the new album, Songs of White Lion.
HUSTLERMagazine.com: Are you okay being interviewed by us?
Mike Tramp: I think that’s great, man. That for me is moving up the scale.
Where are you living these days?
I’m all the way over [on the other side of] the world in Denmark, where it is foggy and gray and starting to get dark by now.
