Veteran rocker Chip Z’Nuff on memories of Ozzy, his history with Howard Stern and his band’s new album, Xtra Cherries.
From the 1989 single “New Thing” to their new album Xtra Cherries, Chicago-area rockers Enuff Z’Nuff have been part of the metal soundtrack of our lives for more than three decades. Led by lovable motormouth Chip Z’Nuff, the band shows no sign of stopping.
Hot off the release of the band’s 21st album, HUSTLERMagazine.com caught up with bassist and lead singer Chip to discuss star fuckers, his first time with a HUSTLER (and the “ZZ Top beards” within), Howard Stern and how he got everyone from Steven Adler to Robin Zander, Steve Stevens to original Enuff singer Donnie Vie on the new record.
HUSTLERMagazine.com: Are you okay being interviewed by us?
Chip Z’Nuff: I hail HUSTLER Magazine. I have been a fan for years.
Do you have any history with the magazine or Larry Flynt?
I met Larry Flynt years ago in Los Angeles. He was charming beyond belief. He loved old school rock ’n’ roll. Told me he thought Enuff Z’Nuff had a Beatles vibe he liked.
