The Bauhaus and Love and Rockets veteran on his most goth possession, the red light districts of the world and his latest release, Tracks From the Attic.
David J is a triple threat. As a member of Bauhaus, he helped define the genre of goth. As one-third of Love and Rockets, he took his love of ’60s-influenced pop to the top of the rock charts. And as a solo artist, he has released a string of critically acclaimed albums. His latest project, Tracks From the Attic, is an impressive three-disc box set of unreleased demos and solo recordings.
HUSTLERMagazine.com caught up with David J on his solo tour to discuss the most goth thing he owns, his experiences with the red light districts of the world, and the future of Love and Rockets and Bauhaus.

HUSTLERMagazine.com: Are you okay being interviewed by HUSTLER?
David J: I’m okay.
Do you have any history with the magazine or Larry Flynt?
Only sneaking views from the copies in my dad’s bedside drawer when I was a teenager.
