It’s so classic, it sounds like an old comedy routine: the stripper and the politician. This time the players are leggy beauty Lynsie Lee and rising Democratic star Cory Booker. Last September, when Booker was still mayor of Newark, New Jersey, and revving up his successful U.S. Senate run, the pair exchanged some frisky tweets that had the tattooed sexpot blushing. No easy feat! Her Twitter following includes comedians Patton Oswalt, Jim Norton, Joe Rogan and more than 18,000 others. Pretty impressive for a gal who dances at Portland’s vegan strip club Casa Diablo.

It all started when Lynsie and Booker were two of the “140 strangers” interviewed in Follow Friday, a documentary exploring the impact of social media— especially Twitter.

Soon after, new Booker follower Lynsie launched a string of salacious tweets. A few months later Booker finally took the bait: “The East Coast loves you and by the East Coast, I mean me.”

“I didn’t plan or expect this Cory Booker thing to happen,” says Lynsie. “But now that it has, I hope it sheds some light onto the fact that people in the sex industry are exactly that: people. Cory has proven himself an even greater candidate in my eyes because he cares about who people are, not what they do.”

For half a second the Booker camp was worried about their man being linked to a stripper—and not even a Jersey girl! But he isn’t married and by all accounts never saw Lynsie polish a pole. A month after the Twitter hoopla hit, Booker sailed to a special-election victory that sent him to D.C.

Lynsie admits she “wants someone in her life,” even if he’s not on a fast track to the White House. But she knows what she likes: “A sense of humor is a must. I’ve been accused of having a comedian fetish. My favorite feeling is to lay there after good sex and make each other laugh. And I love when a guy keeps himself in shape. Nothing’s worse than a guy getting exhausted in bed.”

Fans keep Lynsie busy too, often sending her heartfelt portraits. “One time a guy drew me a picture of my butthole, and that was kind of weird.”

But Lynsie still has one unfulfilled fantasy: “I want to be fucked by a police officer in the back of his squad car!”
