Super Naturals

Nature is a curious thing—at its best breathtakingly beautiful and at its worst devastatingly destructive. Super Naturals splits the difference, amounting to a visit to a ho-hum park where the scenery is pretty enough, but the groundskeeper is on autopilot. The video is directed by Rikki Braun, who’s described on the cover copy as a “porn scion”—he’s the son of Axel Braun, whose parodies display a meticulous attention to detail—and the results are akin to a successful entrepreneur handing the family business over to his less-seasoned son. It’s not disastrous, just mediocre, despite the gratifying level of female talent involved. Nia Nacci is an exotic piece of tawny-skinned ass with God-given, glorious jugs and doe eyes—there’s not the slightest shadow of a surgeon’s scalpel about her. She’s descended on by a guy who, with his scruffy face, shaggy hair and dress shirt, looks like he came to the set from a meeting with his probation officer. Their rutting is passionate enough, but it’s presented at a molasses-slow, documentary-like pace. Braun could have made the concept or the setting more enticing or amped up the editing to keep things going at an entertaining clip. As it is, Super Naturals is a humdrum offering among many in the porn world. Which would be forgivable, but when it’s hyped as coming from someone with a “legendary” family legacy, the expectations are higher. While it’s an acceptable piece of spank fodder, Super Naturals  isn’t all that super after all. —P.D.R.
