The Truth About Misinformation

To not admit your mistake is always a far greater mistake! It speaks to a lack of moral character and a fundamental dishonesty. Case in point: the Republican Party’s impeachment inquiry into President Biden.
On June 8, 2023, Fox News reported, “Joe Biden allegedly paid $5M by Burisma executive as part of a bribery scheme, according to FBI document.” Eight months later a very different headline appeared on the Fox website: “FBI informant who lied about Bidens’ ties to Ukrainian energy company had high-level Russian contacts.”
Alexander Smirnov, the FBI informant, had falsely informed agents that the Ukrainian energy company Burisma had bribed Joe and Hunter Biden with $5 million each during Obama’s presidency. Smirnov has now been indicted on these outright lies.
