Objectively speaking, no other country in the world makes their flag look as sexy as we do ours. Because freedom is sexy. Let’s start with the stuff of superhero lore, Wonder Woman. Not the ultramodern version inhabited by Gal Gadot, but the classic incarnation we know from the comics and TV series starring the legend herself, Lynda Carter (swoon). Her star-spangled culottes—which made their first appearance in 1941, at the height of WWII—were designed by the Amazons to make Wonder Woman a hero in America. Mission accomplished!
