There are so many talented people working behind the scenes at HUSTLER; we would be remiss not to celebrate their outstanding contributions to the pornographic arts. One such unsung hero is HUSTLER Video director Fumigalli. A true visionary with zero attitude, Fumigalli started out as an adult magazine photographer nearly 30 years ago. He landed his first directing gig in 2017 (TeenFidelity), and a pair of AVN nominations (Best Niche and Best Cinematography) soon followed.
Sidelined by the pandemic, Fumigalli says the opportunity to work with HUSTLER fell right out of the sky. Two years and 43 movies later, he’s showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. Get to know the one-man show behind the XXX as we explore his influences, oeuvre and a foot fetish that would make Quentin Tarantino blush.
HUSTLER: Do you remember your first encounter with porn?
FUMIGALLI: I was 14 or 15, and it was the ’80s. Back then, I’d pray for a glimpse of an unscrambled PPV image. It wouldn’t last very long, but that made it all the more exciting when one would periodically materialize—probably the reason why I now gravitate to low-quality clips on tube sites when jerking off. Otherwise I would bookmark my favorite HUSTLER Magazine layouts and make my own movie by flipping the pages back and forth. I didn’t know what lube was back then, so I would use mayonnaise.
