It’s been a wild year, but even we didn’t have “the yassification of Gritty” on our 2022 bingo cards. Smash-cut to September, when an attendee at DragonCon in Georgia tweeted out a photo of a cosplayer who had accomplished the seemingly unthinkable: making us horny for a deranged NHL mascot. (Gritty is the official mascot for the Philadelphia Flyers.)
“At Dragoncon: found sexy Gritty,” wrote @ShortShift3. The tweet then went viral when Patton Oswalt stepped into the conversation, upping the ante with a simple question, “He wasn’t sexy before?” And now we’re dealing with all sorts of feelings that are weird and confusing…
But here’s where it gets interesting: Unconvinced that this was a real thing, HUSTLER went in search of other sexy Gritty iterations.
