Giant dinosaurs, gorgeous architecture and a thriving arts scene are just a few of the perks to visiting Palm Springs, arguably California’s best-kept secret. And while this inland gem is often overshadowed by a certain music festival that shall remain nameless, the city is fast
becoming a hub for solid, all-killer-no-filler comedy and stand-up. Screw the beach—this summer’s hot ticket is a joke.
The Palm Springs International Comedy Festival (PSICF) runs May 22nd to 25th and holds the distinction of constantly outdoing itself every year with a roster packed to the gills with comedy legends. In 2019, D-list queen and HUSTLER favorite Kathy Griffin received
the PSICF Comedian of the Year Award, with the gorgeous and talented Illeana Douglas (swoon!) receiving the hallowed PSICF Pioneer in Comedy Award. And while you trip all over these names we’re dropping, a few more: Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, Mary Steenburgen, Candice Bergen, Ed Begley Jr., Don Johnson, Craig T. Nelson, Andy Garcia, Wallace Shawn and Alicia Silverstone were also on hand.
