HUSTLERMagazine.com: First of all, congratulations on your book! Was there a specific moment when you realized you wanted to share your story with others?
Tasha Reign: Thank you for the journalism you do! And thank you, I’m so excited. I knew I needed to write a book when I went back to college at Annenberg USC for my Master’s degree in specialized journalism.
Going back to school is a big feat! How was your experience at USC getting your Master’s?
Going back to school was really fun. USC had always been my fantasy school. Walking through their hallowed halls still feels surreal. It was interesting being back in a classroom after nearly a decade. But what’s curious about higher education is [that] it always humbles me. I applied three times! Third time’s a charm.
