HUSTLERMagazine.com: You are known for your burlesque-themed shows. What about that timeless art form drew you toward it?
Emily Bloom: I have always been drawn to theater—so much so, in fact, that I have a degree in it. I think one of the major influences that led me to this niche was visiting the Moulin Rouge in Paris when I was 13. The show was so glitzy and beautiful that it changed my brain chemistry. Besides, what woman doesn’t like sparkly things? The more rhinestones, the better! I think my streams serve as a major creative outlet for me and thus satisfy not only my financial needs but also my craving to create. I make many of my own costumes and props for my shows as well.
No burlesque show is complete without a dance! What goes into performing the sensual choreography to get your fans hot?
I train as an aerialist and occasionally incorporate my aerial skills into the shows. I have some background in ballet and ballroom dance from childhood. In general, I am pretty obsessed with fitness and movement. All of that helps a lot when the time comes to learn new moves and choreograph upcoming shows. I watch a lot of dance videos when preparing for a specific theme and learn the styles. I think my viewers appreciate the work I put in and the visuals, of course, but they also enjoy just seeing me enjoy myself. My shows started out as fairly small, no-budget productions and grew in size over time as the support from my viewers grew. Now I have so many outfits and props that my entire garage is filled with crates upon crates of storage!
