Going In Deep With the ‘Guys We Fucked’ Gals

Corinne Fisher and Krystyna Hutchinson built a powerhouse podcast out of interviewing the men they’ve been intimate with—and they’re just getting started on their media empire.

Guys We Fucked: The Anti Slut-Shaming Podcast is a wildly successful show hosted by comedians Corinne Fisher and Krystyna Hutchinson, but ironically enough the pair initially didn’t want to get into the podcast game. They thought, even as far back as the early 2010s, that the genre was already too busy.

“As a comedy duo we were really against having a podcast,” Corinne says, “because even at that time we thought too many people had podcasts.”

“Of course, now everyone and their mothers do!” Krystyna says, laughing.

But not everyone has a podcast like Guys We Fucked, which at various times has been Number 1 on iTunes and has even—schwing!—been ranked above Joe Rogan on the comedy charts. Since December 2013, a new episode has dropped every Friday (the ladies say they’ve never missed a week), resulting to date in more than 300 shows and more than 8 million listens. As for their followers on social media, Corinne and Krystyna put that combined number at a cool half-million.

It all happened after Corinne got “dumped at a Panera Bread,” which led her to suggest to Krystyna that they do a podcast to interview all their exes. Krystyna’s response to the idea of a show called Guys We Fucked was an immediate “Hell, yeah,” and she then completed the title by adding the phrase The Anti Slut-Shaming Podcast. As the women imagined it, their show would be a “social experiment,” Corinne says, which would allow her and Krystyna to “explore ourselves by interviewing the people who knew us most intimately.”
